Young Professional Women's Leadership
The Young Women's’ Professional Leaders Council (YWPLC) will provide members with the opportunity to learn about the professional world, and be able to meet and visit with professional women leaders in Wisconsin. For example, meetings could include panel discussions with women leaders at local companies, meeting with women leaders in law firms, or touring the capitol while learning from women elected officials. The goal is that these experiences will inspire members to pursue leadership roles themselves. YWPLC is a very engaging club. Additionally, members will engage with each other in a positive and encouraging environment. This engagement with each other and interactions with other women leaders will grow members’ knowledge of what they can do with their bright future. This will result in members' increasing confidence in themselves and expanding their knowledge about what they can achieve professionally. The funding is being spent to go on Career Experience trips and an annual purchased book for club members, which serves as the curriculum for the club, so students can learn more about different professions this world has to offer and take note. Overall, YWPLC will ensure that members leave with an understanding that they too can become a strong leader in a professional career.
